GavrilovMatrix.ogg (Ogg Vorbis sound file, length 39s, 39kbps)
The first 40 seconds of audio in The Matrix motion picture, with Russian dubbing by Andrey Gavrilov. Used to illustrate the typical characteristics of a Gavrilov translation, for use in that article. Originally downloaded from here. The audio track is copyrighted by both Warner Brothers and Andrey Gavrilov, though the latter is likely to be unenforcable.
Fair use rationale:
- The sample is being used for commentary on the dubbing technique in question, and contributes significantly to the Gavrilov translation encyclopedia article in a way that cannot be duplicated by other forms of media.
- The sample is short in relation to the duration of the recorded track and is of an inferior quality to the original recording.
- No other samples from the same audio track are used in Wikipedia.
- There is no adequate free alternative available.
