Gavvalu

Gavvalu: One of the typical sweets made in Coastal Parts of Andhra Pradesh,it is a mixture(dough) of rice flour and water/milk.The prepared dough is shaped to small rounds and flattened after which they are rolled (on a special tool)so as to take the shape of gavvalu(cowrie shell) ,these shells are fried in oil/ghee and kept a side for some time.Further these shells are poured in to Sugar/Jaggery syrup.
