Garsington is a village in Oxfordshire, a few miles to the south-east of the city of Oxford, England.

The Village is home to around 3,000 people, and has a local shop newly opened in March 2008, where the old Post Office used to be. It also has 3 pubs, an estate agents, hairdressers and a garden centre. Of the pubs two serve food daily, The Plough and the Three Horseshoes. It also has a local primary school that performs well on the British version of SATs.

Its main points of interest for visitors, and for which it is now most well known, are Garsington Manor, former home of Lady Ottoline Morrell and now the centre of the summer Garsington Opera season; Garsington parish church; and a Norman building, which contains a memorial to Lady Ottoline.

The village is also famous for its Garsington Society, which attempts to expand the knowledge of Garsington and its surrounding areas historically and geographically with talks held every so often. There is also an annual Barn dance held by the Society mainly organised by members such as Richard Betteridge, Hugh Blaza, Julia Simpson and Lorna Stevenson.

One worry for Garsington is its future as a community, since fewer and fewer young couples are moving to the village due to increasing house prices. This is leading to an increase in rich older couples and pensioners.
