What's the difference between wanting to be an autonomous republic and wanting to be independent? Sounds like the same thing. Does the author mean that those wanting to be autonomous republics wanted to do so within the framework of the French Republic? --Eddylyons 19:58, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

I've been trying to fix a problem with the formatting of this page but I'm afraid I've only made it worse. There seems to be a huge gap that appears after the title "History" the way it was previously formatted. Can someone help? Traeshaw (talk) 22:41, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

- Fixed your revision, which removed the lead. Gap is not visible with Firefox running on OSX or Linux. I would check your browser and default wikipedia display prefs. You can go to the "History" tab to undo changes, especially your own. Happens all the time: No worries, and thanks for trying to improve wikipedia. T L Miles (talk) 01:54, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
