Ezekiel Jiles (born October 13, 1975) better known by his stage name Freekey Zekey, is an African American rapper best known as president of Diplomat Records.[1] Zekey was shot on April 25 2003.[2] He spent almost three years in jail at Durham Correctional Center in Durham, NC on drugs charges before being released on November 20, 2006.[3][4] He signed a multi-million one-album deal with Asylum Records in December 2006[5] and released his debut solo album, titled Book of Ezekiel on July 24 2007. On April 15, 2008, Freekey Zekey was involved in a three car accident in East Harlem. Despite being thrown from his vehicle, the rapper suffered only minor injuries.

[edit] Unreleased Album
Right before Jiles ended up in jail, he was working on, then to be, his first solo release "Stop Calling", named after a song in Cam'ron's 2002 release "Come Home With Me". Unfortunately, the album was never fully completed and not released because of his incarceration. The album was slated to be released in Summer, 2003. The album release was also confirmed on the small note pages, between the Diplomat/Roc-A-Fella releases (for ex. "From Me to U" and "Diplomatic Immunity")
[edit] Shooting
April 25, 2003 Freekey got shot in a robbery attempt that didn't go well for nobody.[citation needed] The robbers didn't get the chain, and Freekey's best friend died. He beat up one of the guys that pulled out a gun and stole his gun. Freekey Zekey got shot in the chest and driven over in the process. When he woke up at the hospital, he had handcuffs on and was the main suspect for the murder of his best friend. Evidence number one for Freekeys innocence was a surveillance camera that got the whole thing on tape, that you can actually find on the internet.
