Frazier Mountain is a broad, pine forested peak that is located in the southeastern tip of the San Emigdio Mountains. Frazier Park, California and Lake of the Woods, California lie to the north. At 8,026 feet (2,446 m), it is one of the tallest mountains in the Transverse Ranges. Frazier Mountain is located in Ventura County. The intersection of Ventura, Los Angeles, and Kern counties lies just to the northeast. Interstate 5 lies to the east of the mountain and Southern California Edison's Path 26 500 kV wires run at the eastern foothills of the mountain. Frazier Park (the town) is located in Kern County, not in Ventura County.
The peak of Mount Pinos is about 10 miles (16 km) west of Frazier Mountain. The Alamo Peak Area and Sespe Condor Area lie to the south of Frazier Mountain.
