Hints and tips: If your FORD automatic transmission suffers any shifting problems (especially if it suddenly seems to go into neutral while driving) you may be quoted thousands of dollars for repairs. A high percentage of these issues are caused by a faulty lever position sensor (MLPS). Replacing this sensor first is highly recommended. The replacement part is usually less than $50.
