| Description |
A foggy, cool day Mirage so called Hot Road Mirage. Here's Andy Young comments for the picture: "An interesting example. Because of the shape of the street, the mirage appears in the foreground, where the surface slopes away from the camera. In the background, the surface is flatter and so makes a larger angle with the line of sight; so there's no mirage there. Usually the mirages appear only in the distance -- again because of the angle between the line of sight and the surface." |
