The flora of Peru is very diverse.
[edit] Costal flora
Much of the cost of Peru receives little rain, which limits the amount of vegetation that can grow along it. However, there is vegetation in the hills of Pachacamac, near Lima.
[edit] Jungle flora
The tropical rainforests of Peru are the homes of many different species of trees as well as Orchidaceae flowing plants. Other plants found in the Peruvian jungles include:
- Swietenia mahagoni
- Cedar
- Rubber trees
- Cinchona
- Vanilla
- Sarsaparilla
- Lycaste
- Acacallis
- Cattleya
- Dracula orchid
- Epidendrum
