Fishing Creek is an unincorporated community just north of Hoopersville, Maryland, in Dorchester County, Maryland, on Hoopers Island off the eastern peninsula that reaches into the Chesapeake Bay.

Located on a narrow island served primarily by Hoopers Island Road, Fishing Creek as of 2007 has two restaurants: A.E. Phillips & Son and Old Salty's Restaurant, both on that road. King's Island Pride Grocery also offers dining options. Local legend posits a number of ghosts in the Fishing Creek area.

The U.S. Coast Guard's Station Annapolis, part of the Coast Guard's Sector Baltimore, was originally located at the lighthouse Thomas Point Light at Fishing Creek, in the lighthouse-keeper's barge. It later moved to a nearby smallboat station. In 1972, a new station was built on the site where the barge was moored.
