First Bristol

First Bristol is a company providing bus services in and around Bristol. It is part of the First Group.
First Bus inherited the Bristol operations from its predecessor Badgerline Ltd when the group was formed. Badgerline had acquired the old Bristol Omnibus Company which had been trading as City Line. First imposed its own corporate identity and the City Line name was dropped.
In 2003 First Group changed the legal structure of some of its bus operating subsidiaries, and as a result, First Bristol Buses Ltd (the entity which had been Bristol Omnibus Company) became First Somerset & Avon Ltd[1], and the legal entity which had been Badgerline Ltd became First Bristol Ltd.[2]
