Falcon Dam is a dam on the Rio Grande in Starr County in the U.S. state of Texas. This dam was built for conservation, irrigation, Hydroelectric generating plant, flood control, and recreational purposes and as an international border crossing between Zapata and Starr Counties and Nueva Ciudad Guerrero, Tamaulipas, Mexico. The dam construction ended in October 1953 and was dedicated by Mexican President Adolfo Ruiz Cortines and President Dwight D. Eisenhower.[1] The dam is located at .

The world-class bass fishing draws anglers from across the state to the 98,960-surface-acre lake Falcon State Park is 572.6 acres located between Falcon Heights, Texas and Nueva Ciudad Guerrero, Tamaulipas and is the southern end of a 98,960 acre International Falcon Reservoir. the parks main activities include camping, swimming, fishing, water skiing, and boating and a self-guided nature trail.[2]
