[edit] Life

Suter has long been a talented skier on the Swiss team, but had not been able to participate in the Alpine skiing World Cup due to injury. In the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2003 in St. Moritz she fell in the giant slalom and injured her pelvis. This was followed by other injuries. Following appearances in the FIS and Europa Cup, she returned in the 2006/2007 World Cup.[1] Her first performance in the top ten was at the beginning of February 2008, a seventh place in downhill in St. Moritz. On February 10, 2008 she won the Super-G in Sestriere, together with Andrea Fischbacher, her first world cup victory. On March 13, 2008 in the World Cup final in Bormio she achieved directly her next Super-G victory.

In the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2007 in Åre Suter came in 11th in the Super-G and 13th in the giant slalom, having had to start with a higher number. With the Swiss team she won the bronze medal in the downhill team competition. Suter had contributed the second-fastest time in the Super-G run.
