One of my favourite activities is to run through the New pages list each morning and delete the many nonsense entries. Most of these are not, strictly speaking, examples of vandalism, but more akin to graffiti. This work does not appear in my list of edits.
My interests are wide-ranging. I have a number of academic titles and professional qualifications; have read a different book each day for more than four decades; and take a continuing interest in the many countries in which I have lived and worked. Pastimes include making real-time strategy games for the PC, designing and building websites based on content management systems, making paper by hand, playing judo, ocean sailing, astronomy and cosmology, ancient history and archaeology.
I am a firm believer in the freedom of information - as in free content - and support the view that the content of Wikipedia should not be limited by a narrow view of what is important, because more often than not, such a view changes with both individual perspective and time.
