Euslinux is an operating system based in Debian GNU/Linux. Euslinux is free software and is available in the internet. This project is sponsored by the Vice- Councillor of “Política Lingüística del Gobierno Vasco.” Linux is an operating system that was used like a kernel for the GNU and was created in 1991 by Linus Torvalds.
The program has been translated to euskera, as mentioned before, based in Debian and another free software called GNOME. Also there are new versions of EusLinux (i.e.: EusLinux 10.00, OpenOffice.org, etc) The ones sponsoring this project are: Elhuyas, UZEI and Zudan. Iñaki Larrañaga is a Basque programmatic that has translates many of the free software mentioned before to euskera.
