Estadio Jalisco (Jalisco Stadium) is a stadium used primarily for football events. It is the third largest Mexican football stadium behind Estadio Azteca (Aztec Stadium), and Estadio Olímpico Universitario (Olympic University Stadium). The facility is located in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco, 400 kilometres north-west of Mexico City, and has a maximum capacity of 62,384 seats.

In December 2007, it was announced that a new, 45,000 seat stadium is being built to compete with Estadio Jalisco (Jalisco Stadium). ICA, Mexico's largest engineering and construction organization, stated, the stadium will cost 833 million pesos (US$76.3 million, €51.76 million) and will include various entertainment and sporting facilities including cinema theater, play ground, rock climbing, shopping centers, salon, and other facilities.[1]

Estadio Jalisco is the home ground of Club Deportivo Guadalajara and CF Atlas, one of the oldest and most prominent football teams in the Primera División de México (Mexican First League Division). The stadium has hosted the 1970 and 1986 FIFA World Cup.

During both of those tourneys the Estadio Jalisco was the temporary home of the Brazilian team and today remains a liaision between the people of Guadalajara and the Brazilian national team. The stadium is centrally located in the heart of the neighborhood called Colonia Independencia, and is in front ot the Plaza de Toros Nuevo Progreso ("New Progress" Bullring). Its address is Calle Siete Colinas.
