Eskasoni First Nation

First Nation in Nova Scotia, Canada. Their territory spans three reserves that have a combined area of 41.93 square kilometres. In November of 2004 Blair Francis was elected Chief of the First Nation for two years, but resigned in the summer of 2006 due to conflicts with other counsel members. He was defeated that Fall in the band's elections. The First Nation has a registered population of 3704 members, of whom 3117 live on one of their reserves.
The Eskasoni First Nation is aThe three reserves of this First Nation are Eskasoni 3, Nova Scotia (6.61 km²), Eskasoni 3a, Nova Scotia (35.04 km²), and Malagawatch 4, Nova Scotia (0.28 km²).
