Enterprise Drive is an arterial route that stretches from Warden Avenue to its current terminus YMCA Boulevard. The road travels through the heart of Downtown Markham and is expected to take up most of the area's traffic needs, including Rapid Transit and Conventional Transit, along with normal commuter needs. It is already a favourite for many Markham residents, as they can avoid traffic on Highway 7 and save lots of time, particularly those using the Unionville GO Station and the Markham YMCA. Enterprise Drive will be extended to Kennedy Road sometime in the near future.

[edit] Role in development of Markham Downtown
Enterprise Drive will be the main route of the future Downtown Markham, yielding the way for more aggressive medium and high density growth, something never seen before in York Region. Along with Yorktech Drive to the west, Unionville Gate, and South Unionville Avenue to the east, this chain of roads will form a major artery with a healthy mix of residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional establishments. It has already become a favourite for many drivers wanting to avoid traffic on Highway 7.
[edit] Uncertainty of the road's suffix
The road "Enterprise" is commonly referred to as Enterprise Drive, as suggested on the road sign located at the intersection of Warden Avenue and Enterprise Drive. The name Enterprise Drive is also suggested on road constructions notices. However, it is also called Enterprise Road, due to its Viva stations are named that way. Furthermore, road signs along the road (except the one at Warden Avenue) is suggesting the road to be named as "Enterprise Boulevard". There is no one official name yet.
[edit] Public Transit
Although development is currently underway, Viva Green, Viva Purple, and Viva Pink are already using the road. There are currently 2 vivaStations along Enterprise Drive: Warden Station, and Enterprise Station. Unionville GO Station is also on Enterprise Drive.
