Elfqueen is a fictional character in the Marvel Universe.
The Elfqueen is a female who has lived for at least 10,000 years and can project energy bolts, levitate herself, control nature, and exhibit superhuman strength. She may possibly be a sorceress or a mutant.
The Elfqueen, with her lover Gorn, long ago settled in the area which would one day become the state of Virginia, keeping themselves young and hiding themselves with her magic. After millennia of this existence, Gorn grew bored and insisted upon returning to civilization. The culture clash got him into trouble with local citizens and police, and the Elfqueen dispatched the arresting officers with her energy bolts. Her interference angered Gorn, who slapped her in the face. Hurt and angered, she left Gorn in the city.
Gorn's struggles in the city continued and culminated in his death at the hands of more police officers when he charged at them with his sword drawn. The Elfqueen flew into a rage and began using her magic to take vengeance on the city. The Avengers arrived on the scene but were unable to stop her. Yellowjacket fired on her while Captain America had begun to talk her out of conflict, causing her to renew the fight. Only when Captain America was able to convince her that he was a man of peace, did the Elfqueen Linnea agree to leave in peace.
