Riverstone is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales. It is a 94.30 km² urban and semi-rural electorate in Sydney's north west, taking in the suburbs of Stanhope Gardens, Rouse Hill and Riverstone. There were 44,405 electors enrolled in the district as of the 1999 state election.
Much of the electorate is situated in the growing north-west sector which has been poorly served in transport, health and police resources. A changing demographic towards the eastern side of the electorate (Glenwood, Stanhope Gardens, Kellyville Ridge, Rouse Hill) may push the Labor seat to a Liberal one.[1] In the 2007 election the Liberal vote increased by 5.98% but Labor retained the seat with 60.07% (two-party-preferred). The margin is 9.28%.
