[edit] You Can't See Me!

You Can't See Me! (talk · contribs) Greetings, and thank you in advance for offering comments or even just looking through this page. As with many Wikipedians, I started editing as an IP shortly before creating my account. I did start my account about a year ago, but I haven't been active that entire time. I have been active again in recent months, but another period of lessened activity is coming up soon. That's part of the reason I decided to attempt this review now, so that I'm fresher in some users' memories. Regards, You Can't See Me! 04:09, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

Reviews

  • Closed without review I am sorry you never received a review but after five months it is far to late now; it is as you said, your edit rate has dropped to only a few per month. In the interest of clearing the backlog I am removing the unreveiwd template from this page. If you want a review feel free submit a new one. -Icewedge (talk) 23:54, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
As a mergist Wikipedian, I suppose my most notable contributions were merges. One merger that I was particularly pleased about was a part of the Pokémon Wikiproject's large scale merge. That particular merge would be the Porygon evolutionary line article, which was among the first of the merges in that particular motion. This was the first time I had merged together three separate articles in a manner that did not involve placing them as headers into one already-existing article. As it turns out, the project taskforce decided to merge the Pokemon further into lists of twenty, and the Porygon evolutionary line article transmogrified into a redirect in the midst of things. Meh, you win some, you lose some.
  1. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Yes; I have indeed had my fair share of editing disputes and revert wars, and on at least one of which I had breached WP:3RR without realizing. However, I'd have to say that one of my most wikistressful moments did not involve an edit war at all. Rather, it was due to a recent Foundation movement that was removing fair-use images from list articles regardless of their purpose on the list (namely, it was removals on Naruto-related lists that caught my attention). This is still going on, and this is the first time beyond my first few weeks at Wikipedia in which I had a conflict of interest with a specific policy. I am currently trying to find a discussion in which I can offer my opinion on the rule itself rather than the articles it was enforced on or the talk pages of those who enforce it. In the mean time, I'm trying to be as polite as possible whenever I attempt a question or a compromise.
