Edith Heath

Edith Heath (May 25, 1911 – December 27, 2005) was an industrial designer, potter, and founder of Heath Ceramics in 1948. The company, well known for its mid-century modern ceramic dishware and architecural tiles, is still operating out of Sausalito, California.[1] It was purchased by Robin Petravic and Catherine Bailey in 2003.[2]
Her "Coupe" line remains in demand and has been in constant production since 1948 with periodic changes to the texture and color of the glazes. Other Heath pottery lines include "Rim," designed in 1960, and "Plaza," designed in the 1980s.[3]
