Durant Brooks (born April 15, 1985 in Macon, Georgia) is an American football punter in the National Football League for the Washington Redskins. He played college football at Georgia Tech. He won the 2007 Ray Guy Award for the most outstanding punter. Durant was the first and only punter taken in the 2008 NFL Draft when Washington selected him with the 168th pick.

Brooks attended Tattnall Square Academy in Macon, Georgia and was a student and a letterman in football and basketball. In football, he was the punter on the 2001 Georgia Independent Schools Association (GISA) Title team. The head coach was Barney Hester, a 10 time GISA AAA State Champion. In basketball, he averaged nearly 18 points a game. Durant Brooks graduated from Tattnall Square Academy in 2003. He credits his strong leg with saying, "Horseback riding has help my leg get stronger." His father, Paul Brooks, continues to coach at Tattnall.

Brooks attended Georgia Military College and was a student and a two-year letterman in football. In football, he posted an average of 40 yards per punt over two years. In his Senior season Brooks had an average of 45.3.
He was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the 6th round of the 2008 NFL draft with the 168th overall pick; he will compete with incumbent punter Derrick Frost to win a starting job on the team for the 2008 season.
