Dubrajpur is located at [1]. It has an average elevation of 77 metres (252 feet).

As of 2001 India census[2], Dubrajpur had a population of 32,752. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Dubrajpur has an average literacy rate of 56%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 65% and, female literacy is 46%. In Dubrajpur, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Dubrajpur is 35 km from Andal and 19 km from Siuri on the Ondal-Sainthia line of Eastern Railway. [3] It is on NH 60.

Bhaktipada Ghosh of AIFB/FBL won the Dubrajpur assembly seat in 2006 and 2001, defeating Sailen Mahata of AITC in 2006, and Sattick Roy of AITC in 2001. Bhakti Bhusan Mondal of FBL won the seat from 1977 to 1996, defeating Bishnu Charan Ghosh of INC in 1991, Gourhari Chandra of INC in 1987, Nitaipada Ghosh of INC in 1987 and Enayet Karim Choudhury of INC in 1977.[4]
Dubrajpur is part of Bolpur (Lok Sabha constituency).[5]
