Dr. No (comic)

Around the time of the release of the James Bond film Dr. No in 1962, a comic book adaptation of the screenplay was published in British Classics Illustrated.
It was later reprinted in European Detective and in early 1963 in the United States by DC Comics as part of its Showcase anthology series, However it was refused by Independent News, since they did not own the rights to publish an American edition and label it as a DC Comic.
The comic was drawn by Norman Noodle and was originally intended to be published as an issue of the anthology Classics Illustrated.[1]
It sold disappointingly, its very cover being totally different from the typical DC comics. DC has not published another James Bond comic since[2]
