[edit] Welcome

Welcome!

Hello, Doug church, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. --Glacious 12:57, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Shaun Wilson

You've done a great deal of work on Shaun Wilson. I'm not sure why you didn't create your article there in the first place: perhaps there's a restriction on new users at present. I've created an article there and copied your content into it. I did that at about 14:00 GMT so any changes you've done on the requests page since then (if any) will have been lost. Please add further content to the page about Wilson as you are able: it seems unlikely to me that the page will be deleted, as the subject seems notable and the content not plagiarised. Welcome to Wikipedia. Ringbark 14:41, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Adminstrators please Read

Hello Wiki adminstrators,

I am still unsure about some of the image uploading techniques. I've uploaded a few times the image 'Pool' and the latest version has a {{FAR}} licence but its showing up as a limited licence. Would you please delete the older versions so I can have a current image version (dont have administrator access). Still reading about how the upload protocols so your help would be much appreciated.

If there are other comments about the article itself then by all means let me know.

thanks

DC.

[edit] Image:Shaun_Wilson_image-25.jpg listed for deletion

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:Shaun_Wilson_image-25.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. – riana_dzasta 12:39, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Please reupload the license under the {{FAL}} license, I think that's what you mean, not {{FAR}}! :) – riana_dzasta 12:39, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

==

Thanks for the clarrification, will upload under the recommended licence. With many thanks - DC

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Shaun Wilson, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. OnoremDil 15:12, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Vandalism on my page

I've left a warning on User talk:Stewarthill already. I've also added the Shaun Wilson‎ article to my watchlist so hopefully that sort of vandalism won't go unseen for long again. As a side note, please avoid describing the article as "your page". You don't own any pages here. --OnoremDil 15:32, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Shaun Wilson. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Tiptoety talk 11:03, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Please do not delete content from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Shaun Wilson, without explaining the reason for the removal in the edit summary. Unexplained removal of content does not appear constructive, and your edit has been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox for test edits. Thank you. Tiptoety talk 11:05, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to blank out or delete portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Shaun Wilson, you will be blocked from editing. Tiptoety talk 11:06, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you delete or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia, as you did to Shaun Wilson, you will be blocked from editing. Tiptoety talk 11:12, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

If you want to remove those templates from the top of the article that were recently added to it by another editor with the intention of improving the article, you must first address them by doing what they recommend be done to the article. If the templates are out of date, then feel free to remove them, and if you entirely disagree with what they recommend, discuss it with the editor who placed them on the page, or discuss it on the articles talk page. But do not continually remove them from the page, especially after your edit was reverted and i left you a message, as your actions constituted vandalism. Cheers! Tiptoety talk 21:30, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Legal threats

You're going to want to not state or imply anything that threatens legal action against Wikipedia, as that will certainly lead to an indefinite block. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 11:30, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 12:12, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
