Egerius was the father of Tarquinius Collatinus, who was the husband of Lucretia 2. [1]

Egerius was the son of Aruns 2, son of Demaratus of Corinth whom married a woman from Tarquinii. Egerius' name means "The Needy One." He lived in poverty since he received nothing from his grandfather's large estate and his father died before his grandfather, leaving a pregnant wife. Egerius was born later after Demaratus's death and after his father's death. Demaratus died shortly after Arruns. Demaratus didn't know about his future grandchild (Egerius) so left him nothing while his son Lucius and his family received the entire estate of Demaratus.

Demaratus of Corinth, when he first immigrated to Italy after the foundation of Rome, arrived there with several other people from Corinth. His son "Lucumo" changed his name to Lucius (Tarquinius Priscus), who succeeded Ancus Marcius in the throne of Rome. Lucius and Aruns were brothers. Egerius and Tarquinia were first cousins. Tarquinia was the wife of Marcus Junius Brutus and their son was Lucius Junius Brutus, founder of the Roman Republic.
