William Douglas Lynsar known as Douglas Lynsar (1867-1942) was a New Zealand politician of the Reform Party.

He represented the Gisborne electorate from 1919 to 1931, when he was defeated. In the 1928 contest Lysnar stood as an Independent Reform candidate and was successful. At the the following election in 1931 he was an Independent but was not returned.[1]

In his 1919 campaign, he employed Albert Davy as organiser. Davy went on to be an effective organiser for the Reform Party, though disagreeing over policies.
