Doctor Who Adventures is a magazine based on the British science fiction television programme Doctor Who. It is published by BBC Magazines and aimed at 6–13 year-olds, a different demographic from the Doctor Who Magazine readership. Initially published every fortnight, from 2008 it was published weekly.

Doctor Who Adventures was first published as a fortnightly magazine on 5 April 2006, featuring fact files, puzzles, makes, news guides and more. The regular price for issues 1-33 was £1.99 (issues 19 and 28 were £2.50; issue 45, a special "long-read" edition, was £5.99); the regular price rose to £2.10 from issue 34. From issue 47, the magazine became weekly.

From issues 1-12 the heading had the Doctor Who logo in a transparent white with the word Adventures in bubble writing filled with the colours from the official Doctor Who logo. Issues 13 and 14 were 2cm bigger because the inside cover was a poster of either the Daleks or the Cybermen. Since then, the proper Doctor Who logo has been used, with the word Adventures in different colours (issues 13 and 14 had a silver Adventures heading in bold because as they were special editions).

This new section started from issue 58 featuring an exclusive preview for an upcoming Doctor Who episode in series 4 named 'this week's Story' but changed to 'this week's Episode' from Issue 61.

An episode guide to all the Doctor's latest adventures. But when the last adventure of the series finishes the guide's not back until a new episode has been aired.

a fact file on a Doctor Who character or thing. However, from issue 58 it's been called STORY because of Doctor Who being back it's revealing the secrets for the next upcoming episode. this is currently on now and is going on for 13 weeks.

This monster guide started from issue 9 and finish in issue 24 without a finished guide.

Some issue feature an interview on an actor, writer etc.

Every issue has a comic which carries on on a few more pages from where it left off. Sometimes it's a two parter but became a two parter on every story.

Like a fact file, it came along in issue 50 starting with all the Doctor Who stories and rating how funny, scary etc they are. It also features Who records and other stuff.

Info from behind-the-scenes of Doctor Who, first had two pages then later one.

2 pages of games and puzzles, It features a word search on which you can win a price if you can find the word which isn't in the word search and also has a spot-the-difference section where you have to spot five differences between 2 pictures.

Chosen moments from reader on their favourite Doctor Who scenes. It started as one page then became two from issue 37.

When the magazine became weekly they added activities as well as cut-outs like how to walk and look like a Doctor Who monster and comes with cut-out stuff while making you monster costume. they also give you gifts like a doctor or ood dress up kit

In most issues there's a quiz where you have to beat the Master by answering questions on a Doctor Who character or thing.

Readers can send in letters and drawings of Doctor Who things from the series and the best will win a prize. Alongside it is a section where you can send in pictures of you as Doctor Who characters and there's also a section where you can send in a Doctor Who joke. One per-issue.

At the start of each magazine the DWA team leave a message saying what's in that magazine. Also on that page it gives a page of exclusive news based on the next series. Also there's a competition to win a Shaker Maker, Ready Bed, Go Glow etc. All you have to do is find a little picture of a Doctor Who character of thing and say which page it's on. There's next time section on the puzzle page on what's in the next issue of Doctor Who Adventures but then moved to the last page taking the whole room and featuring a subscription to get 26-51 magazines delivered to your door as they arrive in the shops. This page was then moved to the back page of the magazine.
