Doctor Ox (French - Le Docteur Ox) is the title of a short-story anthology by Jules Verne, consisting of four varied works of his youth and published by les éditions Hetzel in 1874 - Une fantaisie du docteur Ox (also known on its own as Doctor Ox), Maître Zacharius ou l'horloger qui avait perdu son âme, Un hivernage dans les glaces and Un drame dans les airs

It was adapted by Jacques Offenbach under the same title as an opéra-bouffe in three acts and six tableaux, produced on 26 January 1877 with a libretto by Arnold Mortier, Philippe Gille and Verne himself.
