Talk:DNA sequence

Typically the sequences are printed abutting one another without gaps, as in the sequence AAAGTCTGAC, going from 5' to 3' from left to right. What is meant with 5' and 3' here? --Abdull 19:45, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
In my opinion, the image "part of a DNA sequence" is somewhat misleading. Depicted is the determination of the sequence during base calling. IMO, an image "part of a DNA sequence" should only show the sequence itself. Maybe this image should be replaced/deleted and used in a part of the article [DNA_sequencing] explaining base-calling. 138.246.7.121 Thu Sep 7 18:32:56 UTC 2006
