[edit] MCA Music Entertainment Group

You should know that MCA Records is the proper redirect as MCA (founded in the 1920s as a talent agency) did not enter the recorded music business until it bought the American branch of Decca Records in 1962. Steelbeard1 (talk) 12:49, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Rahsaan Patterson

Hi, DMWN! I was wondering if you had any better references for Patterson's being gay? He doesn't actually say he's gay in the ref you provided, though he does imply it in everything he says. The difference, though, is striking, especially when it comes to biographies of living people. For instance, Jodie Foster has *all but* come out, and until she does, we can't really label her. Thoughts? Reply on Talk:Rahsaan Patterson? Thanks! -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 03:42, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Please stop the unnecessary tables in Madonna album pages containing esoteric information

Hi,

Please read the following WIKI Album guidelines : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Albums#Track_listing

I believe that you have interpreted the following paragraph of the WIKI ALBUM guidelines:

Particularly for hip hop albums, it is helpful to list which members of a group (or guests) rap on which verses as well as mentioning sampling sources. This can be done in a nested list, as in the example above. Using a table is recommended in more complicated situations (see Before These Crowded Streets for example). If a table is used, it should be formatted using class="wikitable", using column headings "#", "Title" and "Length" for the track number, the track title and the track length, respectively.

But please not the words in bold. At no point in the whole of the WIKI ALBUM guidelines does it suggest to include esoteric, unnecessary information such as 'producers', so PLEASE stop reverting to an elaborate but unnecessary table. The format of Madonna's albums is currently under discussion in the Talk page of 'Hard Candy', if you feel strongly about the use of tables, please make your opinion known there and we can all try to reach a consensus.

Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Reqluce (talkcontribs) 07:47, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

PLEASE READ THE WIKI GUIDELINES AND DISCUSS THE FORMAT OF THE TRACKLISTING IN THE 'HARD CANDY' TALK PAGE BEFORE STARTING A REVISION WAR THANK YOU. Reqluce (talk) 08:00, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding reversions[1] made on March 27, 2008 to American Life

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors.
