Roderick "DJ Hot Sauce" Grover November 27, 1980 - Present

It started in a small town in north Louisiana. August of '94 was the start of his career. The now silent KLPL was the site where he got his start as a young night jock at the tender age of 14. Although being on air was refreshing and new, it still wasn’t enough. He grabbed the turntables and began to work his magic. From programming to production, he did it all by the time he hit 17. He moved to New Orleans in August of '97 and fell in love with jazz and blues. Finally in March of '99 he got the opportunity to find another radio home in Monroe, LA. KRVV was the spot where things started to open up for him. Monroe is also where he started doing mix tapes. From there he went to DJ just about every club and concert venue in the area. He got at call to transfer to Meridian, MS (WJXM) in ’02, then Dothan, AL in 2003 to do nights at WDBT which has since changed formats. There his coworkers dubbed him “King of Nights”. He’s most known in the area for throwing his birthday party at an unknown club and letting everyone drink free. He received a call from Clear Channel so he “caught a midnight train” to Columbus, GA in September of 2004. A Clear Channel start up station, WBFA 101.3 The Beat is where he took the position as midday announcer and music director as well as an award winning mix show. There, he was introduced to the Legion of Doom Record Breakers and The Core DJ’s. Still looking for a bigger audience, he headed to North Carolina to handle nights and Mix show coordinator at WIKS. His show will always be remembered there for being an outlet for local and regional artists. Although it was only a brief stint, he still managed to produce an Arbitron rated #1 show in all demos! You can find DJ Hot Sauce “Spicin’ up” your radio in his native state of Louisiana from 6-10pm on KMJJ in Shreveport. Bringing his award winning mix show and southern flavor back to the boot!
