[edit] Nonsense title

Although not a big fan of the genre, I think the passage on the nonsense title shows poor understanding of the conditions in which countries with smaller languages competed in before other languages than the countries' native language (i.e. English) was allowed. All the English-sounding nonsense titles where a way to get around this requirement and to appeal to wider language areas. Sebisthlm (talk) 10:00, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Wait a minute ...

The song is often used to demonstrate everything wrong with the Contest ... Further, the title is absolute nonsense

This seems like it's written by someone who doesn't like the Eurovision Song Contest in the first place and is using Wikipedia to grind his axe. And why would the "absoulte nonsense" comment need to be in there? it seems spiteful. I'm going to be bold and rephrase it, and I will assume good faith. --Popoi (talk) 17:56, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Actually i need some help here from the author. What are we trying to convey with the segment? I'll assume:

  • The song seems to illustrate the era it was sung in. Upbeat 1980s dance, clean cut young men.
  • Some songs have nonsense lyrics. (Why is this important? there are endless lists of songs that have nonsense lyrics).
  • The song was so popular with fans that it gave name to a well-known ESC lyrics archive.

I'll edit your text accordingly, please let me know if i misinterpreted your intentions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Poposhka (talkcontribs) 18:04, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
