Destination Moon is the fourth album by acclaimed R&B singer Deborah Cox. It also pays tribute to legendary R&B/Jazz singer Dinah Washington, and Cox calls it "a concept album that I've had in mind for years". [1] Many of Washington's songs are reinterpreted on the album including the title track "Destination Moon". Most of the album was recorded live with a 40-piece orchestra and was produced and arranged by Rob Mounsey who has worked with the likes of Aaron Neville, Natalie Cole and Rihanna, to name a few.
The album has been critically acclaimed.[citation needed] The week after its release, it peaked at number 1 on the iTunes Top Jazz Album Chart, and at number 3 on the US Top Jazz Album Chart.[citation needed]
