[edit] Geography
Located in the southwestern part of the county along the Ohio River, it has the following borders:
- Green Township - north
- Cincinnati - east
- Kenton County, Kentucky - southeast, across the Ohio River
- Boone County, Kentucky - southwest, across the Ohio River
- Miami Township - northwest
Much of what was once part of Delhi Township, including its entire shoreline along the Ohio River, is part of the city of Cincinnati, the county seat of Hamilton County. Unincorporated communities in the township include Delhi Hills, Delshire, and Mount Saint Joseph. The Cincinnati communities of Price Hill, Sayler Park, Sedamsville and Riverside were part of Delhi Township until they were annexed by Cincinnati at the turn of the 20th century.[citation needed]
The township has an area of approximately 12 sq mi (31 km²). Because the township covers the slopes leading down to the floodplain of the Ohio River, the township contains many hills, and its landscape is cut by a number of ravines caused by streams that make the descent.[citation needed]

The climate of Delhi Township is synonymous with the climate of the Greater Cincinnati area in general, with some micro-climates of warmer and cooler variations due to the proximity of the Ohio River, orientation of the river hills, and significant differences in elevation throughout the Township. As such, Delhi Township is located within a climatic transition zone at the extreme northern limit of the humid subtropical climate. The local climate is a basically a blend of the subtropics to the south and the humid continental climate to the north. There are several "micro-climates" found in Delhi Township which produce warmer than usual or cooler than usual "pockets". In the warmer niches it is not at all uncommon to find such "subtropical" novelties as the common Wall lizard, the Southern magnolia, and even the rare Needle palm; the blue spruce and salamander tend to occur in the cooler and more shaded niches — for example, on the campus of the College of Mount Saint Joseph — even an example of cold hardy palms can be found there. Major moderating variables for the overall climate of the township include its proximity to the Ohio River, its relatively large hills and valleys, and an urban heat influence due to the proximity of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky metropolitan area. This area is also within the northern periphery of the Upland South and is also a part of the Bluegrass region of southern Ohio and Kentucky.

Delhi Park is the main park within the township. There are many ball fields, recreation areas, a recreational water area, and a skate park within the park. Story Woods Park is a system of trails set inside woods.
