Deadwood Reservoir

This is a reservoir, surrounded by pine trees, in the mountains of Idaho. True to its name, there is quite a bit of dead wood within the surrounding area (and perhaps even in the water itself). The area is commonly used for camping, water skiing, fishing, canoing and other such.

It is a few hours, by car, north of Boise, Idaho, in the United States of America.

The temperature can get surprisingly hot in late July and early August. Rain and wind may frequent the area unpredictably. All in all, the climate is much like that of other high mountain lakes in Idaho.

- Various evergreens (mostly pine trees of one sort or another)

- Rainbow trout
- Kokanee salmon
- Landlock fall chinook salmon
- Atlantic salmon
- Bull trout
- Cutthroat trout
- Other fish have been caught than those listed above (i.e. a sort of white fish), though they may or may not be commonly found

- Deer
- Grizzly bears (there are generally warnings if/when they are in the area)
- Bats (these can be seen flying about at night by the shore)
- Probably skunks, as they frequent other similar high mountain lakes, such as Lost Valley Reservoir (AKA Lost Lake)
