Regarding the List of gay, lesbian or bisexual people: the editors have established a criteria which requires that entries on that list have an article which mentions their orientation. Hey - thanks for the message. I've made several contributions to the list; regarding Weerasethakul, it should be in the page, unless it's disappeared VERY recently; this was further verified via the Cineaste article.

Hi David.Yes I am also very much intersted in Ray's works and would like to present the articles properly wikified.However, I have been not able to properly categorize all the artcles I started or edited.This is a must.We should work towards proper categorization.

What do you do and how did you become so involved with the films of Satyajit Ray? I stay in Calcutta and currently working as a house-staff in Calcutta Medical College. Bye.

Thanks for uploading Image:Atlantatorichmond.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

[edit] Enigma tornado outbreak

The article looks like a fine start to me, you've really done some digging to glean information from newspapers. The format is okay for now, but should be expanded and made more narrative when information allows. If it were contended, I'd support the article as is for now as information is scarce, as evidenced by the name of the event itself. I do have access to the Grazulis book, as well as a video and guidebook which I recall discusses the outbreak. I don't know of the original Finley source material, however. The Finley and NWS materials would be very interesting to see, thanks. I do know Finley's book on tornadoes is freely available online, the first devoted solely to the subject. I don't remember what of the Enigma Outbreak is discussed. Evolauxia 02:13, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Hello, I noticed that you have associated yourself with WikiProject North Carolina in one way or another and I wanted to say Hi. I have been doing a bit of work on the project and wanted to know if you were still interested. One of the major things that we need help with is article assessment. If you go to NC Article Grading and Ranking you will see that as of 12-25-2007 we have over 2,900 articles that are either unassessed and/or have not been tagged with importance. Thanks for the message. Another useful resource is WFO PAH's tornado database. Unfortunately, it only shows tornadoes in the CWA, and it uses Grazulis's book. It still should help somewhat. Southern Illinois SKYWARN (talk) 14:12, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Project news Elections are now taking place for coordinators of the project for the next six months. Any editors interested in seeking a coordinator position, or who want a say in who is selected, should indicate as much here. Member news The project has currently 381 members, 69 joined & 0 leavers since the start of March 2008. Other news The project's long-time lead coordinator, Kevinalewis, has announced he is not standing as a candidate for another term in that capacity. We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to him for the extraordinary work he has done for this project. To Kill a Mockingbird and El Señor Presidente were both recently promoted to Featured Article status. This brings the novel FA count to 14! It has been suggested that WikiProject Sword of Truth be merged into WP:NOVELS, perhaps as a task force. Task force news Two inactive projects were converted into task forces, so Chronicles of Narnia task force and Lemony Snicket task force have been created. People interested in the aforementioned subjects are encouraged to support the new task forces. (Thank to Wassupwestcoast for the tip) Novel related news The science fiction author Arthur C. Clarke died on 19 March aged 90. The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Díaz won both the National Book Critics Circle Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for 2007. Current debates There is a discussion regarding further task forces for other genres of fiction now taking place here. News Cape Lookout Lighthouse Hello WikiProject North Carolina members! A few of us at the The Newsroom Team decided to get together and re-energize the project, through these newsletters. This newsletter is hopefully the first of many to come. We want this project to be active in creating and expanding articles related to our state. If you're a current or former resident of the state, we hope that you will help spread the knowledge of how much there is to learn about North Carolina. A great way to expand new articles is by keeping track of the new articles list. Please add any new NC-related articles or older ones you come across that have not been tagged with the project banner. When you notice an article has been added to the list, read over it and check for citations, grammatical errors, and spelling. If you've written a NC-related article in the past 5 days, read the requirements for Did you know... and add your article to the DYK nomination list. It might be chosen for the Main Page! If you see a new member added to the project list, a great idea would be to leave them a welcome message on their talk page. Show them we notice new members and that we want them to become active participants. Congratulations to the editors who helped promote List of tallest buildings in Charlotte, List of North Carolina hurricanes (1900–1949), List of North Carolina hurricanes (1950–1979), and List of North Carolina birds to featured lists. Let's try to get a few more articles to featured status. North Carolina would be a great (and obvious) choice. Congratulations to the editors of Climate of North Carolina as well. This article was recently promoted to Good article status. A few suggestions for articles we can work on for GA are Raleigh, North Carolina, Charlotte, North Carolina, Greensboro, North Carolina, Geography of North Carolina, and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. If you're a history buff, check out List of Registered Historic Places in North Carolina. There are many articles to be written and your help would be greatly appreciated.
