David Winnie is a former manager of Dumbarton FC[1] who play association football in the Scottish Third Division . Winnie was in charge at Strathclyde Homes Stadium from June 2002 to March 2003 before his sacking with the Sons then struggling in the Scottish Second Division. He was replaced by Bo'ness United manager Brian Fairley.[2]
He was previously assistant manager at Icelandic side KR before a brief caretaker role saw him steer them from relegation danger.
He was also on the coaching staff at the youth academy at Livingston
Winnie, who was a defender in playing days, was part of the 1987 St Mirren Scottish Cup winning team.
