David Robertson (born 17 October 1968 in Aberdeen) is a former Scottish professional footballer who played for Aberdeen, Rangers, Leeds United and Montrose.
He began his career with local club Aberdeen in 1986 before moving to Rangers for £970,000 in 1991. With Rangers, he helped the club to a record nine championship titles in a row before joining Leeds United in 1997 for £500,000. Recurring injury problems curtailed his spell in England having only played 26 league matches in four years at Elland Road. He retired from football in 2001 but was back playing in 2002 when he was appointed player/coach of Scottish Football League club Montrose.
In September 2006 Robertson was appointed manager of Montrose[1] but he resigned just four months later.[2]
