David Bustamante (born 25 March 1982 in San Vicente de la Barquera, Cantabria) is a Spanish singer.

Bustamante's breakthrough was in the TV hit Operación Triunfo. This program, similar to American Idol, broke ratings records as well as dominated the top position of the CD sales charts during its 5 month run. When the program ended in February of 2002, David Bustamante was chosen as one of the three final winners.
Since then, Bustamante has released five solo albums. His first CD, Bustamante, was released in May 2002 and spent many months among the top selling CDs in Spain. He followed this with a successful summer tour with over 70 concerts throughout Spain. His second album, Asi soy yo, was released in November 2003 and was produced by music industry great Emilio Estefan. Bustamante continued with Caricias al alma and Pentimento, a word that he made up and which does not mean a thing according to the Spanish Language Royal Academy. Furthermore, he visited Latin America to promote his music.
David Bustamante has a big success in Spain and in other places of Latin America. He has sold over 1.300.000 units. His new album Al filo de la irrealidad is on the top position of the charts in Spain and it will be released by Universal music, in the USA and Latin America the next 3th March 2008.
