Dave Scatchard (born February 20, 1976 in Hinton, Alberta) is a professional ice hockey centerman who is currently an Unrestricted Free Agent at the NHL level and has yet to find a new team. He has played with the Vancouver Canucks, New York Islanders and shortly for the Boston Bruins before getting traded for defenceman David Tanabe after playing 16 games for the Bruins. His last stint was with the Phoenix Coyotes before they bought out the final two years of his contract at the end of a disappointing season. He registered 3 goals and 5 assists for a total of 8 points in 45 games, and ended the year with a -18 rating. He ran into injury problems later in the season, and was sidelined for the last 32 games with a concussion. He also had a knee injury in November 2006, but did not miss any games for that cause.
