I'm a recent college graduate (major: German, minor: Political Science; studied at the University of Maine) and US Army veteran (served with the 11th ACR out at the NTC) from Saco, Maine who is mainly interested in history, languages, Star Wars, the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots, and anything else I happen to feel like reading at the time. As part of my university experience, I studied in Salzburg, Austria for a time, so I've been lucky enough to do some travelling around Europe- and I go back whenever I can (the last time being in March 2006).
I mostly cruise around Star Wars and Warhammer/Warhammer 40,000 articles in a vain attempt to make them better, but occasionally stick my nose in history, political and other articles.
I like to try to cut down on redundancy in articles (ie, if there's an article about a subject, there's no need to tell all about it again in a related article- just link to the main article and be done with it!), and often find myself fixing what I call "misuse of parentheses"- that is, when people use parentheses to make little side comments within articles. It also drives me nuts when people confuse "loose" and "lose", among other things ("your" and "you're" is another)- yes, I'm a nerd.
If you have a problem with me or my edits, by all means, please add to my talk page, or add to the bottom here, without childish editing of my little introduction- it's probably a lot easier for me to revert it than it is for you to spend your time editing it.
If you're interested in what I've been messing with, check my contributions page.
I'm not British, but I've gotten in the habit of ending my posts on talk pages and such with "Cheers"- we're all friends here, so I hope that helps foster that.
