[edit] Initial comments

This article has importance because he is a potential future first round pick in the NFL Darft. —Preceding unsigned comment added by CubsFan2006 (talkcontribs)

According to who? Such a claim of notability should be cited, especially since such a future claim of potential flirts with the guideline that WP is not a crystal ball. --mtz206 03:29, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

let's see uh ESPN who predicted him the number 2 pick in the draft —Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.29.171.62 (talk) 21:57, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

Yes, let's turn this article into another fucking Wikipedia: Citation Needed fest. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.68.174.211 (talk • contribs)

As a Fresh man Darren ran for 1113 yards not 1800 like it states.

mention the 2 bar fights he got into —Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.29.171.62 (talk) 21:43, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

i added the thing about him fathering illegitimate children. --DJ GALLY QUICK —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.62.247.30 (talk) 01:13, 29 February 2008 (UTC) He didn't father the children, he failed the paternaty test. Can someone find out if he is the only person to come in 2nd twice for the heisman, i'm pretty sure he is. [1]

[edit] Nickname

An IP keeps adding that his nickname is Run D-M-C, I'm from Little Rock and have followed his career quite closely and I don't believe this to be true. Most people in Arkansas refer to Darren as "D-mac" Broooooooce (talk) 03:07, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

You must actually live under the little rock, because I've heard it a million times.►Chris NelsonHolla! 03:27, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
Now, let's not be uncivil. However, we should just state his nickname(s) in the lead, just like LaDanian Tomlinson and LJ. RC-0722 361.0/1 04:07, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
Chris, no no no, I've heard it before, I just don't think it is used nearly as much as "D-Mac" ;) Broooooooce (talk) 04:11, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
I wasn't being uncivil.►Chris NelsonHolla! 04:11, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

And I'd like to point out that a google search of "run-dmc mcfadden" returns 76,000 results. Thinking one must be living under a rock for not having heard that is not out of line in this case - especially someone from Little Rock.►Chris NelsonHolla! 04:11, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

(ec) Hey! Problem fixed! BTW, Chris, saying that other people live under a rock isn't exactly civil. I've never heard it, and I don't live under a rock. RC-0722 361.0/1 04:14, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
Well if you lived in Arkansas and followed college football, then I'd say you were living under one.►Chris NelsonHolla! 04:15, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
No, you have it all wrong. I'm a hobbit, so I live under a hill, not under a rock. :P RC-0722 361.0/1 04:19, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

I bet those Lord of the Rings jokes kill with the ladies.►Chris NelsonHolla! 04:21, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

It may be a local thing. I talked to a few friends and asked them "What is Darren McFadden's nickname" and all responded with "d-mac". While I've heard run dmc used quite a bit, it's not nearly as predominant around my area and I can say with a pretty good amount of certainty that the "run dmc" nickname came into common usage later on in his collegiate career. Broooooooce (talk) 04:23, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
Well Chris, it would except I go to an all boys school. Getting back on track, I've heard both used around my area. RC-0722 361.0/1 04:26, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
