A mercenary of the Rebel Alliance attempts to save the galaxy from the evil and corrupt hands of the infamous Darth Vader and Imperial general Rom Mohc.

Rebel mercenary Kyle Katarn continues his journey as he realizes his father was a jedi. He obtains Force powers after his father, Morgan Katarn, is slaughtered. On a relentless journey to defeat the Dark Jedi Jerec, who killed Morgan, he seeks assistance from Luke Skywalker and Jan Ors.

Kyle Katarn has become a mercenary once more, but when Jan Ors is kidnapped by two mysterious Dark Jedi, Desann and his apprentice Tavion, he must re-learn the Jedi ways to defeat them and rescue Jan.
