Talk:Dan Andrei Aldea

He has been voted several times Romania's best rock guitarist in the 1970s. He has composed with Dorin Liviu Zaharia music for the movie "Nunta de piatra" (The Stone Wedding)- which is one of the most acclaimed Romanian movies ever. Look at the cross reference Dorin Liviu Zaharia. He has written the music to the audiobook "Faust" read by Rolf Günther. Take a look at his website http://home.arcor.de/dan.aldea/
- You're right. I've hunted around, and there are a fair few sites talking about him as an important influence in prog rock. OK I'll take off the db-bio, but please cite some independent sources on the page, or someone else will mark it for deletion again. Thanks for setting that straight. - I know he has quite a following particularly in certain (progressive rock) circles, but there is no proof that he was the best Romanian rock guitarist. Making such a claim without mentioning (at least in passing) the likes of Nicu Covaci denote ignorance; as such I will take the liberty to delete it. Likewise, you have yet to convince me that "Nunta de piatra" is one of the most acclaimed Romanian movies ever. Indeed, this movie doesn’t show up on the IMDB list of the best Romanian movies: http://www.imdb.com/List?countries=Romania&&top=on&&votes=50&&lo-rating=7%2E5&&nav=/Sections/Countries/Romania/include-averagevote&&heading=7;Most%20popular%20titles;Romania%20by%20average%20vote. Wikipedia is not a rumor mill or a fan site. 81.96.125.17 20:28, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
It doesn't? Well, it does in my search. And who said he was "the best" guitarist?? --Mycomp 00:30, 15 October 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mycomp (talk • contribs)
