Danube is a city in Renville County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 529 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.2 km²), all of it land.
U.S. Route 212 and County Highway 1 are two of the main routes in the community.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 529 people, 214 households, and 156 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,094.1 people per square mile (425.5/km²). There were 223 housing units at an average density of 461.2/sq mi (179.4/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.35% White, 0.38% Native American, 2.08% from other races, and 0.19% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.24% of the population.
There were 214 households out of which 34.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.9% were married couples living together, 4.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.1% were non-families. 24.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 15.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.47 and the average family size was 2.94.
In the city the population was spread out with 25.0% under the age of 18, 7.9% from 18 to 24, 25.1% from 25 to 44, 22.3% from 45 to 64, and 19.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 101.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.5 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $40,000, and the median income for a family was $43,750. Males had a median income of $35,781 versus $22,000 for females. The per capita income for the city was $18,807. About 3.8% of families and 5.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including 5.3% of those under age 18 and 7.5% of those age 65 or over.
