Daniel "Danny" Ramsay was a fictional character in the popular Australian soap opera Neighbours, played by David Clencie. He was the very first character seen in Neighbours. Danny was having a bad dream about his brother Shane drowning after a diving incident. Other characters (including Helen Daniels, Paul Robinson and his father Max Ramsay) were seen laughing at him. Danny had a troubled relationship with his father Max who disapproved of Danny's thoughtful, studious, ways. Danny appeared in the first episode that was aired on Seven Network in 1985. By 1986 he began working as a bank teller and the relationship with his father had settled down. He moved away from Ramsay Street in early 1986. In 2005, Danny made a cameo in Annalise Hartman's documentary on Ramsay Street.
