[edit] NPOV
This page is full of opinions about Oliver's work that have no referenced basis. Also, the page tends to paint Oliver in a very negative light:
- "Oliver has been subjected to some criticism in that some say a lot of the theme tunes he has composed are closely modelled on popular songs."
- "Some of Oliver's best known themes include..."
- "It is widely considered to be one of Oliver's best theme songs..."
- "... no full length version can be found on any TNA fansites."
- "Some think that it is simply because..."
- "Oliver has also been known to make what are considered to be his better themes for competitors in the X Cup Tournaments."
- Consistant use of the word "rip-off" throughout the article, particularly in the wrestler themes list... also no reference to his original songs in the wrestler themes list...
I think this article needs to be completely edited to reflect a nPOV... Clint 06:33, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cover Versions?
How does somebody this talentless gain employment? Easily explained really; when it's with TNA a company built on poorly implemented mimicry.--86.143.94.17 14:35, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Well, I wouldn't say that he's completely talentless. Maybe TNA tells him to make rip-offs of songs because they think that that song will fit the character. The thing I don't like is how they use a song more than once for wrestlers that don't even have anything to do with each other.
Oliver really has made a couple of good ones. I'm listening to "I'm Everything" right now. A friend of mine got it for me somehow and it was not easy to get. I wouldn't consider it a blatant rip-off of Carlos Santana's "Smooth." It sometimes sounds like it, but Oliver's "FU System" is one of the most obvious rip-offs ever and I'm surprised TNA can even use it. It sounds so much like "Toxicity" by System of a Down that it's not even funny. I have both songs and sometimes I wonder if maybe they just put "Toxicity" in a computer and remixed it. Maybe Oliver didn't even have to pick up an instrument for it.
But he has made some good originals such as "My World", "I Am", and a few others.
"I Am" is a good song. Why they don't let him do different stuff like this, or why he dosen't make different stuff like that, is beyond me. TNA could also get a good indy band for music. God, there must be hundereds on MySpace, and there are probably a lot of decent ones.
