Daly City Station is a Bay Area Rapid Transit station located in the extreme northern part of Daly City, California less than one block from the San Francisco city limit. Interstate 280 and State Route 1 are located on the west side of the station. Before BART service was extended to Colma and later to Millbrae, the Daly City Station was the only BART station in San Mateo County and served as a terminal station.

The elevated station serves as a terminus for some lines. It consists of three main tracks, one island platform, and one side platform. The side platform is primarily used for trains continuing on to Colma and Millbrae. The island platform is primarily used for trains either coming from Milbrae or terminating here. Trains terminating here reverse direction,and return to their East Bay destinations unless they are headed for the rail yard in Colma.

Balboa Park Station, rather than Daly City, has been designated as an official transfer station for two main reasons. First, Balboa Park is a major transportation hub with a number of bus lines and a Muni Metro stop in the area. Second, the Balboa Park station has just two main tracks and one island platform, eliminating the need of changing platforms to change trains.

Service at this station began on November 3, 1973.^[2]
